Esther Alonso is now a postdoctoral researcher at UBC, working in Jason Barton's lab.
Research Interests
I am interested in understanding the neurophysiological mechanisms underlying cognitive functions in general and face recognition in particular.
The questions I am more interested pursuing in the future are to determine the brain areas that are involved in face processing, especially those related to the generation of the scalp ERP N170, in both healthy individual and prosopagnosic patients. Going a step further, I would like to study the dynamical properties of the neural networks involved in face information coding.
